I have waited 3 years for this book! I was so excited when I finally found out it had been released!
I think I might be the only person who’s read these books who wants Alera to be together with Steldor instead of Narian. I mean, yes, Narian is a really nice guy, but there’s just something about Steldor that’s so…manly.
Anywho, this book focused more on the war between the two kingdoms instead of the love triangle between Alera, Narian and Steldor. That’s not to say that there wasn’t any love triangle-ness, but it wasn’t the key factor.
I really like that Alera is a strong, confident woman (and now all I can think of is that episode of Friends where Chandler is listening to that tape to help him quit smoking). With the heroines in books being strong, it makes me feel proud to be a woman.
I know that the last book is coming out in November (which is only 6 months away instead of 3 YEARS) but I can’t wait for the final book in the trilogy!
